THE MISSOURI STATE MIXER TOURNAMENT is a
three day event as Friday, June 19th thru Sunday, June 21st 2015 at the Ozark Valley Inn, 2693 Shepherd of the Hills Expressway, Branson, MO
65616 (phone: 417-336-4666 or 1-800-947-4666). The room cost will be $59.95 per
night if we have fewer than 10 rooms. If we have ten or more rooms, the rate
will be $45.00 per night. Ask for Sharon when making your reservation and be
sure to tell her you are with the Checker Tournament. The prize fund for this
tournament will be at least $8,000.00 Thanks to Joe and Jeannie McDaniel of Tulsa, Oklahoma,
David Seres of Newport Beach, California, and Kenneth Seres of Edmond,
Oklahoma for donating this prize fund and
sponsoring this tournament. The tournament is scheduled for 8 rounds at 60
minutes per game. Plan to make this a family vacation. There is so
much to see and do in Branson -- all kinds of music shows, the Titanic Museum,
Silver Dollar City, and lots of other attractions. You don’t want to miss this
one! We will have a social period on Thursday, June 18 from 1 p.m. until 9
p.m. You may register for the tournament then or the next morning before the
first round. Entry fee is $20. We will play four rounds of 3-move and 4 rounds
of 11-Man Ballot. Three rounds will be played on Friday, June 19, three rounds
on Saturday, June 20 and two rounds on Sunday, June 21. The first four rounds
will be 3-move and the last four will be 11-Man. There will be mutable classes
depending on number of players and rating of skill. Registration starts
